Statistics
- According to the Automobile Insurance Society of Quebec (SAAQ), the number of snowmobiles registered in the province of Quebec in 2005-2006 was 161.404. In comparison, in 2000-2001 this number was 148.498. An increase of 12.906 snowmobiles registered in comparison with the years 2000 and 2001.
- The Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean is the area in which in 2003
one found the greatest number of snowmobiles registered. A total of 20.797 snowmobiles were counted. Here is a census of the areas:

- The amount of clubs and kilometres of snowmobiler trails by area in 2004-2005: Here is a census of the areas. Abitibi-Temiscamingue with its 3532 kilometres of trails is the area having the greatest number of kilometres. The Chaudière-Appalachian Mountains area with its 39 clubs is the area, which has the greatest number of clubs. A total of 231 clubs and 33 700 kilometres of trails in the province of Quebec:

- Canada statistics, in a treatment carried out for Panel Kerr Forster, estimate at approximately 400000 the number of nights in Quebec ascribable to this activity - for 75% of the visitors, snowmobiling constitutes the principal goal of their voyage.

Quebec is the Canadian province by far that is the most powerful to attract foreign snowmobilers.
